Welcome, one and all, to theĀ One Book One Marin blog, where staff and librarians from the Mill Valley Library gather together to share insight and interpretations of the novel selected by the One Book One Marin committee.
We welcome your comments, questions, and thoughts as we explore each new text!
One Book One Marin is a partnership between local City (Mill Valley Public Library, Belvedere-Tiburon Library, San Rafael Public Library, San Anselmo Library, Larkspur Public Library, and Sausalito Public Library) and Marin County (Novato, South Novato, Faifax, Stinson Beach, Point Reyes Station , Bolinas, Marin Civic Center, Marin City, and the Bookmobile) Libraries, Dominican University and Dominican’s Archbishop Alemany Library, and the independent book store, Book Passage. We also recieve a great deal of support from our various donors (both monetary and in-kind donations). Through various library programs, a kick-off event held at Book Passage, and a culminating event held at Dominican University, members of the Marin community are invited to expand their reading tastes and seek connections with one another, the book, and the author (who speaks at both the kick-off and the culminating event).
The purpose of One Book One Marin is to enrich and strengthen the Marin community by coming together to read and discuss one particular book each year. More information on One Book One Marin is here.
